All nitrocellulose lacquers crack eventually, but now there's no need to wait years for that relic look!. Special formulation of our nitrocellulose guitar lacquer with accelerated aging - spray it right and it could start to check in as little as 2 weeks.. Aerosol spray can is easy to use with little cleanup required - shake for 2 minutes and you're ready to spray.. Our UltraFill technology gives the maximum amount of finish per can, increasing coverage and value. You'll need one can for smaller guitar bodies, two cans for larger models.

  • Hi What's the best way to spray this to speed up cracking? Thanks Andrew

    The formulation of the Easycrack lacquers results in it being thinner than standard top coat, and it'll flash dry faster. Spray 3 light coats 10 minutes apart. Repeat this 4 times. Lots of thin, light, quick drying coats is key. Because it flashes off so quickly it's quite dry by the time the spray hits the surface, thus not having much solvent content to burn into the coat below. This reduces the integrity of the finish resulting in much quicker but still natural looking cracking.

    We've never had much luck experimenting with freezers or hot/cold cycles, find it has more to do with how you spray it.

    Hi Chris,
    This is now back in stock.
    It is a slightly different formulation so it sprays more thinly and is far more likely to crack quickly than our standard nitro.
