White Cellulose Sanding Sealer Primer - 5 litre Jerrycan

Nitrocellulose based sanding sealer and combination primer. Available in clear, white and grey, this combination sealer primer is the most important part of a nitrocellulose finish. It seals the wood and allows for sanding to 600 grit, providing a smooth and stable base onto which to apply the finish. Clear will allow the wood’s grain to show through and has a slight warming effect typical of nitrocellulose finishes. The white and grey versions are high opacity for use underneath Cellulose Guitar Paint (both solid and metallic colours). SIZES AVAILABLE 250ml bottle 1 litre bottle 5 litre bottle 400ml aerosol spray can COVERAGE Aerosols provide approximately 1.2sq m of coverage each. Guitar bodies will require 1-2 depending on the size and species of wood. When used in spray guns the paint provides approximately 8sq m of coverage per litre. THINNING For use in spray guns and HVLP kits the sealer primer should be thinned 5-30% with our Standard Cellulose Thinners. For example, to make 1 litre of sprayable sealer primer you would mix: Minimum 50ml thinners to 950ml of sealer primer Maximum 300ml thinners to 700ml of sealer primer The precise ratio will depend on your particular spraying equipment and circumstances. Coverage and build will vary depending on how much you thin the sealer primer. We recommend using as little thinner as possible.
