Cellulose Acetate Sheets & Blocks

Cellulose acetate is the modern successor to celluloid — offering similar beauty and workability but with greater stability and a wider range of colours and patterns. It's a favourite material among pen turners, knife makers, eyewear restorers and craftspeople who want something richer and more distinctive than standard acrylics.

Our collection includes over 65 products from Incudo and Turners' Mill: sheets up to 700mm in various thicknesses, pen turning blanks (150x20x20mm), and blocks for knife handles and larger projects. Patterns range from classic tortoiseshell to bold marbled swirls, combed pearloid, calico and solid colours.

Cellulose acetate machines beautifully on lathe or mill, sands smoothly through the grits, and takes a brilliant polish. It's also easy to shape with gentle heat for bending and forming applications.
