Water-based dyes are easy to apply and clean up, with a more forgiving working time — ideal for larger surfaces and less experienced finishers. Spirit-based dyes penetrate quickly and dry fast, giving deeper, more vivid colour — preferred by many luthiers and professional finishers for guitars, furniture and woodturning projects.

Available in sizes from 250ml to 1 litre. If you prefer to mix your own custom shades, we also stock a full range of aniline dye powders in water-soluble, alcohol-soluble and metal complex formulas.
