Dartfords is the UK's specialist brand for traditional nitrocellulose guitar finishing, and the brand we've built the largest part of our finishing catalogue around. If you're spraying a guitar body, refinishing a vintage neck, or sealing a piece of furniture with a proper lacquer, you'll find what you need here.

The Dartfords range covers nitrocellulose aerosols (over 100 colours and clears for guitar bodies), brushable nitro lacquers, sanding sealers, primers and specialist neck lacquers. Beyond the lacquer range, Dartfords also makes interior wood dyes in water-based and spirit-based formulations, wax polishes, danish and tung oils, fillers, and a full set of finishing sundries from masking tape to filler sticks. It's a finisher's brand built by people who actually finish things.

For guitar work, Dartfords nitrocellulose is the real thing: genuine nitro, not acrylic or cellulose substitutes, so it cuts back, blends and ages the way traditional finishes are supposed to. For woodworking and furniture, the wood dye range covers the colours that come up most often (oak, mahogany, walnut, rosewood, plus the less common ones like sherwood green and pelham blue).
